Samara Sedmak, Also known as Samara Von Rad, is an emerging singer/ songwriter from Edmonton, Alberta. A girl and her guitar, with her folk/ rock styling’s and comedic between song banter she has captivated many a room, and is now making her venture to the studio to create the take home version for her fans.
A prolific songwriter, Samara first performed her original songs in a talent showcase in Byron Bay, Australia in 2005. Winning a spot in the best of show, Samara discovered her love for sharing her songs with the world. In 2007 she attended film school in Red Deer, Alberta, as an Actress. Samara composed original songs for the short films “Zut” and “The Votive”, and shortly after graduating was back on the singer/ songwriter stages of Edmonton. Her first solo show at Hulbert’s Cafe sold out to an enthusiastic crowd. She then began performing with other local Edmonton artists to packed houses at various venues around town and has acquired a loyal and devoted fan base. She is mostly seen as of late rocking out with her band: Samara Von Rad and her Band of thieves.
