Sketches of Eternity

‘Sketches of Eternity’ is a contemporary jazz quartet formed in February 2012 in Edmonton, Alberta. The quartet is led by Andrew Reid, winner of the 2011 ESO Young Composer Project, and is comprised of music students from Grant MacEwan University. The quartet features members who have had years of performance experience including playing at festivals such as Rock Fest, YC Belize and Break Forth Canada for thousands of audience members. Although primarily rooted in jazz, ‘Sketches of Eternity’ aims to break down the barriers of what jazz is commonly perceived to be by exploring all areas of music and incorporating elements from pop, rock and classical music into their abundance of unique original material.
